What’s the movie about?
The drama “Love, Simon” is about the 17-year-old student Simon Spier (Nick Robinson). He is secretly gay and has been waiting for the right time to come out. His friends Leah (Katherine Langford), Abby (Alexandra Shipp) and Nick (Jorge Lendeborg Jr.), and his parents Emily (Jennifer Garner) and Jack (Josh Duhamel) have no idea of his sexual orientation. One day Simon falls in love with a schoolmate who reports on his homosexuality online. They make contact and write each other e-mails. By an unfortunate coincidence, the student Martin (Logan Miller) discovers some of the messages. He threatens to blackmail Simon with an involuntary outing if he doesn’t help him impress Abby and make him his girlfriend…
