With her meager salary, she barely manages to make ends meet for herself and her daughter Maddy (Rylea Nevaeh Whittet). Although the authorities put numerous obstacles in her way, she does everything she can to find happiness through her own efforts. The young mother has already suffered too much suffering and strokes of fate in her life to give up. Her escape from an abusive relationship was the beginning of an odyssey that provided difficult moments with poverty and homelessness. But step by step Alex fights her way back into society, from which she received little support during her most difficult time.
