What’s the movie about?
The film “The Finest Hours” is based on the sinking of the SS Pendleton on February 18, 1952. The SS Pendleton was split in half as a result of a terrible thunderstorm. In the stern of the rapidly sinking ship, 30 sailors, led by rank elder Ray Sybert (Casey Affleck), struggle to survive. When the Coast Guard learns of the terrible incident, the officer in charge, Daniel Cluff (Eric Bana), sends four men led by Bernie Webber (Chris Pine) to fight the meter-high waves and risk their lives to save the 30 sailors.
