What’s the tv show about?
In the Netflix series “On My Block”, the four friends Cesar Diaz (Diego Tinoco), Ruby Martinez (Jason Genao), Monse Finnie (Sierra Capri) and Jamal Turner (Brett Gray) are the main characters. They all live in South Central Los Angeles. The district is one of the more dangerous neighborhoods, inhabited predominantly by Latin and African Americans. All four are looking forward to their first day of high school. But the rough everyday life does not stop at school. They have new experiences and some weird adventures. But the four of them are not spared from harassment either. So it is good that the friends can count on each other and face the challenges together.
