What’s the movie about?
After the tragic death of his wife, journalist Benjamin Mee (Matt Damon) is looking for a new start for himself and his two children. The search for a new home turns out to be more difficult than expected, but then the three find the perfect domicile: a run-down zoo with exotic animals that is on the verge of bankruptcy. Before the zoo reopens, the Mees not only have to deal with all kinds of “animal” problems, but also overcome a number of obstacles – and their own doubts – together. They are supported by the courageous animal keeper Kelly Foster (Scarlett Johansson)… and experience perhaps the greatest adventure of their lives!
