What’s the movie about?
Susan Cooper (Melissa McCarthy) is a humble CIA analyst who works exclusively at a desk. Although this makes her responsible for the actual planning of the intelligence agency’s dangerous missions, it is the agents in the field who subsequently take credit for a job successfully completed, and Susan goes largely unnoticed. But when her partner Bradley Fine (Jude Law) falls victim to the machinations of the beautiful Raina Boyanov (Rose Byrne) and her string-pullers in the background, Susan unceremoniously volunteers for a delicate undercover assignment. She is supposed to infiltrate the organization of a dangerous arms dealer and at the same time she is given the opportunity to take revenge for her partner. In sometimes unglamorous disguises, for example as a cat lover from Iowa, Susan experiences the adventure of a lifetime, in which she becomes the heroine of the CIA’s most dangerous mission.
