What’s the movie about?
The comedy “The House” is about the couple Scott (Will Ferrell) and Kate Johansen (Amy Poehler), who have lost their savings. Their daughter Alex (Ryan Simpkins) was accepted to Buckley University. Her neighbor Frank (Jason Mantzoukas) comes up with the idea of opening an illegal casino in the basement of her house. To their surprise, the casino is running really well, but soon the would-be casino operators are struggling with some problems: Their daughter Alex soon realizes that something wrong is going on, and some criminals also find the new gambling house a thorn in their side…
