What’s the movie about?
Two not too bright gangsters manage to rob an illegal poker game, the players to ease their money and escape undetected. This has consequences: Because the card games are hosted by organized crime, which should actually be responsible for the safety of gamblers. As long as the thieves are not caught, the games must be suspended.

Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt), a professional killer, the best in his field, is hired to quickly restore normality. But it is not made easy for him. The bureaucracy and indecisiveness of the syndicate rob him of his last nerve, a once sure-fire colleague (James Gandolfini) turns out to be an unreliable drunkard, and Cogan’s habit of killing his targets “softly”, from a safe distance, without having to look them in the eye, is an additional obstacle to his job…
