What’s the movie about?
Los Angeles 1949: The ruthless gangster boss Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) from Brooklyn dominates the city and skims all illegal businesses. Whether policemen or politicians all dance to his tune. That’s enough to intimidate even the most honest cops… except perhaps a small secret unit of LAPD outsiders led by Sgt. John O’Mara (Josh Brolin) and Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling) who want to overthrow Cohen from his throne.
