What’s the tv show about?
The sci-fi series plays 300 years in the future. In this time mankind is so progressive that the consciousness of humans can be stored. The wealthy society is even able to transfer its consciousness into a new body. The 365-year-old Laurens Bancroft (James Purefoy), after waking up in a new body, is firmly convinced that it was previously murdered. Bancroft then turns to the police, who assure him that it was a suicide. Bancroft is then forced to retrieve a very special elite soldier from the dead. He hires the elite star warrior Takeshi Kovacs (Joel Kinnaman) to track down the alleged killer.
The Netflix series is based on the novel “The Immortality Program” by Richard K. Morgan.
