What’s the movie about?
The drama “8 Mile” is about the rapper Jimmy “Rabbit”, who grows up in the slums of Detroit. He lives in a trailer and earns a little money on the assembly line. He dreams of a career in the rap scene dominated by African Americans. At his first big appearance in the scene Rabbit has to throw up out of nervousness and on stage he doesn’t get a word out. His friend Future and his girlfriend Alex support him in his second rap battle. The breakthrough in the rap scene now seems to be tangible…
