What’s the movie about?
For food in the supermarket, there is only one true destiny in life: To be placed in a shopping cart and allowed to go home with someone to some kind of heavenly paradise! Sausage Frank (voice in the original: Seth Rogen) wants nothing more than to finally be put in the sexy hot dog bun Brenda (Kristen Wiig) there. A jar of honey mustard returned to the store tries to warn the other products of the real, cruel fate that awaits them at the humans, but neither Frank and Brenda nor their delicious colleagues like Sammy Bagel Jr. (Edward Norton) or Vash (David Krumholtz) want to believe the horror scenario – until they soon find out for themselves in the kitchen of a shopper that the voracious giants do not even stop at little carrot children…
