What’s the movie about?
April 15, 2013: As always on Patriots Day, the marathon takes place in Boston. As in every year, the sporting event is a big folk festival, but on this particular afternoon it takes a terrible turn. Within seconds, two explosive devices detonate in the finish area of the race. There are several deaths and numerous injuries. But police sergeants Tommy Saunders (Mark Wahlberg) and Jeffrey Pugliese (J.K. Simmons) have no time for shock. They, as well as Special Agent Richard DesLauriers (Kevin Bacon), Police Chief Ed Davis (John Goodman) and Nurse Carol Saunders (Michelle Monaghan), face a multitude of tasks: first and foremost, the injured must be cared for and, in addition, a race against the clock is underway, because the assassins must be tracked down and stopped before they can strike again…

Based on the report of Boston Police Chief Ed Davis, who led the investigation against the perpetrators after the Boston Marathon attacks and coordinated the various operations.
