What’s the movie about?
Scott Voss (Kevin James) is quite unhappy with his job as a biology teacher in a run-down high school and is hardly involved in the school’s affairs. This changes, however, when the school’s music program is to be cut due to budget cuts and the music teacher’s (Henry Winkler) employment is on the line. For Scott has a fantastic idea: to raise the needed money that would save the music program and the music teacher, he takes a side job as a mixed martial arts fighter. At first, most of the school thinks he’s crazy for it, especially the school nurse Bella (Salma Hayek). But what most don’t know: The 42-year-old was once a successful college wrestler. His efforts are rewarded and and the results far exceed his expectations as he becomes a local sensation and the entire school rallies behind him.
